Tables and Chairs
Job Description
Set up the tables and chairs and other equipment and decorations, and put away storage bins so that the room is as beautiful as possible for worship. You will also need to put things away after the service (enlisting the help of others.)
Set up Chairs
You'll find the stacks of chairs in the hallway or in the sanctuary. Place at least 70 chairs in the space, with a wide middle row aligned with the cross on the back wall. Make sure the stack of chairs is accessible in case you need to put out more during the service.

Set up Tables
There are six tables you'll need to arrange in the room. You will find the tables either in the Yoga studio or just outside the door. If none are present, ask the security guard to get some.
- Communion Table (up front next to pulpit)
- Welcome Table for Kids supplies
- Welcome Table for Translation supplies
- Offering Box Table
- Coffee Table
- Translation Table

Clean Up Sanctuary BEFORE service starts
It's not just enough to put out what we need, but we also need to put away what it came from.
- Put storage bins underneath the tables they serve (or back on the supplycart).
- Put musician/sound equipment bags onto cart.
- Put cart and chair holders in back corner by translation table.
- Tidy room to make sure things are at right angles, and nothing is cluttering the tables.

Clean Up After the Service
- Place the chair stacks in the centre of the room. People will naturally put chairs away if they see others doing it. So you just need to get the process started.
- Wait for attendees to return what they took from tables (translation devices, kids books) before completely putting away the tables.
- Wait 10 minutes for people to get a final coffee before putting the coffee table away.
- Bring offering box to minister or other person in charge to handle that days offering/newsletter sign ups.
- Make sure items are placed properly back where they came from.
